About Brasilito

Brasilito is the working fishing village between Flamingo and Playa Conchal, with a plaza on the sand, inexpensive sodas and small hotels, and the footpath to Conchal's turquoise water starting at the south end of its beach. It is the affordable, local-flavour base on this stretch of coast.

The ride from La Fortuna

Liberia Airport to Brasilito is about 1 hour via Route 21, Belén and Huacas on paved road. Flamingo is 5 minutes north, Tamarindo 20 minutes south.

Good to know before you arrive

  • Walk to Playa Conchal in 10 minutes along the beach heading south.
  • The village sodas serve the cheapest fresh fish on the Flamingo coast.
  • Brasilito's beach is calm and used by local families; Conchal is prettier for swimming.
  • Supermarkets are in Huacas and Flamingo.
